Regional Education Summit for Private Schools

As part of the pRiMe NCR Strategic Directions and pursuit of pedagogical innovations, the Quality Assurance Division (QAD) as one of the Functional Divisions of DepEd-NCR is tasked to promote and protect accountability and transparency in the Region by ensuring compliance with the private basic education institutions with standards of quality basic education specified in DepEd Order No. 88, s. 2010, otherwise known as “2010 Revised Manual of Regulations for Private Schools in Basic Education.”

As this pRiMe region is heading towards an inclusive and innovation-driven institution, the role of the private education sector is viewed as an essential counterpart in the delivery of quality service among its clientele. This adheres to the promotion of dynamic governance following the principle of efficient, effective, and economical services being practiced in the regional office. Private school administrators are given the equal opportunity of operating the business under the mandate provided by the Philippine laws and issuances through the Department of Education. The National Capital Region, DepEd-NCR QAD offers innovations and new programs with an emphasis on regulatory and developmental services to support the operation of basic education among sixteen (16) school division offices.

In response, the conduct of the Regional Education Summit for Private Schools is hereby being set to provide an avenue for education key players in the private school to continuously address concerns affecting the operation of private schools in the National Capital Region (NCR). This undertaking aims at setting the best platforms to cascade the policies and updates based on the orders and issuances by the Central Office. Likewise, a mode of recognizing the role of private schools in the delivery of quality education in the country is highlighted through this event.
